Knowledge A:

1.  Peter Linley owns a herd of cows with 150 cows on it in Taranaki.

2. Peter Linley and his son get’s up before 5:00am he does this because he is a dairy farmer.

3. When spring comes and the grass starts growing the cows are ready to milk so Peter and his son go and milk them.

4. There milking shed is called herringbone shed.

5.  There is a little concrete pathway and that is where they work.

I think this text is fiction because it sound like it and could relate to a story that is fiction.

Barbara Kendall.

Knowledge

Barbara Kendall was talking about how she and her brother were really competitive while Wendy was the peacemaker and she tried to  make them stop being so competitive. It was the special moment because Barbara was representing her school.

Comprehension

She represented her school in swimming and athletics but her real love was dancing in 1988 she was windsurfing and dancing.

This Is Not A Planet It’s My Home

Day 1: Sent up to space to see if it was safe and it was in 1972 Day 2: Feeling dehydrated need a drink. Day 3: I want FOOD!. Day 4: I  had a banana for food. Day 5: Wanting to go back to earth. ( Haven’t even lasted a week.)

Week 1: Imagined seeing my owner. Week 2: In space. Week 3: Not knowing what to do. Week 4: Itchy inside the suit. Week 5: Wants his owner to come to him.

1 Month: Feeling scared/sluggish. 2 Months: Feeling Bored. 3 Months: Hungry again, Didn’t get food (SAD). 4 Months: Doubting himself of being in the spaceship. 5 Months: How long will I be in space for.

I’m feeling really happy because I have lasted 65 years in space ( even though I haven’t done it all the way up to 65 ) and I am coming home today WHOOO!!.

2. What does the article mean when it says valuable resources?  Without trees as you may know the world would not exist because trees are our oxygen.

3. When the article talks about the word “Felled” what does Felled mean? Felled means to cut down a tree.

In the text I learnt that trees were mostly grown in the North Island on the Kaingaroa plains and the nature of the trees were continued.

1. What enabled people long ago to move more freely to new lands= Migration.

2. Which word on page 1 suggests that it is not certain that indigenous Australians came from South-East Asia= Sahul.

3. Did clans of indigenous Australians move all around the country, or did they restrict their movements to certain areas= No. They travelled  around the country.

4. Why would the Maori people have watched the birds migrate= So they can kill the birds for food and to help people not be poor and give some food.

5. Why do you think the author said these three groups of people travelled bravely=I think because they need to be brave for if something bad happens to them like a rino ran into them they are ready to face it.

6. Which group of people in this text was the first to migrate to another country=Indigenous Australians.

7. If you moved to live in another country now, in what ways would it be easier than what these groups of people experienced=Well you could take a plane instead of walking to migrate.

Once upon a time there girls named Snowflake,Crystal,Sunshine and Sparkle it was 12:08pm and the girls were heading to the lollie shop. Once we got there Crystal who has black with purple highlights she flicked her hair in my face because she thinks she is pretty and she is but still.

Snowflake ( Me) I have red hair with highlighted purple and brown eyes, Crystal has blue eyes with black with purple highlights,Sunshine has pink hair with no highlights and green eyes and Sparkle has brown eyes and has reddish hair and green highlights.

After we were going to drive to Iceland it would approximately take 2 hours in the car but it was scary to ride in the car for 2 hours.
